At Fannin Regional Hospital, we’re all heart. Our cardiac rehabilitation services help people living with heart disease or who are recovering from a cardiac event like a heart attack or bypass surgery build endurance and strength. But it’s not all about the body’s strongest muscle. Our program looks at the whole person, creating an individual plan that combines supervised exercise, education and lifestyle changes specific to each patient based on their age and abilities.
Staffed by registered nurses, dietitians, respiratory therapists and exercise physiologists, the team at Fannin Regional Hospital customizes an exercise program complete with nutrition guidelines, stress management techniques and smoking cessation counseling. The overall goal is to help modify the risk factors related to heart disease and to develop a personalized plan to help each patient achieve his or her maximum potential for heart health.
Fannin Regional Hospital offers a phase II and III cardiac rehab program run by a certified clinical exercise specialist with more than 30 years of experience. We include both patients and their families in the development of treatment plans and provide educational support to help them along the way.
